Isabel has over 20 years of experience teaching in economically and racially diverse communities, and working with multilingual students and families. As a teacher and parent, Isabel understands the challenges of this work and strives to make the trainings accessible, meaningful, and relevant so that educators and families feel equipped with effective strategies and solutions.
Isabel co-founded the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee at her school in Amsterdam and collaborated with colleagues across grade levels to lead professional development for her school's staff. She has developed and led parent and family education workshops on the importance of discussing race with children.
Isabel also provides workshops for parents and caregivers to help navigate the Dutch education system. Check the events page for upcoming workshops on primary school choice in Amsterdam.
